Talk The Talk has been given the ‘green-light’ by our funders to launch an additional two new oracy programmes for schools.
Four Acre Trust has also agreed to pay half of the costs of ALL student oracy programmes on behalf of your school.
Talk About Transition and Talk About The Future join our highly successful Talk About Communication and Talk The Talk – Teacher CPD programmes.

Half-Day Workshop – Years 6 & 7
Are Your Students Secondary Ready?
Transition to secondary school involves changes that can be both exciting and a cause of concern to students. Successful transition is vital to the development of students’ self-confidence, self-esteem and academic self-competence.
Talk The Talk’s half-day Talk About Transition workshop uses oracy-based activities and strategies to help students develop greater self-confidence and resilience to support the successful transition from primary to secondary schooling.
The workshop activities –
Build positive relationships; promote goal setting for their new school lives
Boost levels of self-confidence and self-esteemDevelop oracy skills that improve connection to peers and teachersSupport students in identifying new friendships through shared interestsExplore opportunities and challenges surrounding student transition

Talk About The Future supports students preparing to leave school or college by developing the competencies needed to take this next step with confidence and a positive mind-set.
The workshop activities –
Develop advanced oracy skills to prepare students for a variety of life situations
Highlight and nurture employability skills, interview techniques and key presentation methods
Help students identify aspirations and implement plans to achieve them
Develop the skills and competences needed to realise future goalsGive students the experience of mock-interviews and support in writing their first CV
