Trustee – Talk The Talk

Location: Remote

Time commitment: We have 5-6 board meetings per year. Trustees are expected to attend these and devote sufficient time to read through the board papers in advance.  There may be other events that trustees are invited to attend, and other opportunities to get involved. We estimate the time commitment to be 3-4 days annually.

Terms of office: Our trustees have a term of office of 3 years, for a maximum of 6 years.

Context:

Talk The Talk is on a mission to inspire all young people to become confident communicators for life! By inspiring a young person to find their voice and use it confidently, we are enabling the leaders of the future; those who will bring people together for a common cause, contribute to building their communities and shape the growth and development of a stronger society.

We work with teachers and schools to provide young people with the skills to communicate with assurance through a variety of oracy workshops to address key employability challenges, improve self-esteem and enable students to engage with others confidently and persuasively.

The workshops we deliver enable young people to benefit from specialist, high quality oracy development, supporting them to communicate skilfully and to empower them to raise their social aspirations and ultimately contribute towards reducing the gap of social disadvantage.
