Talk The Talk delivers a range of in-school, confident communication workshops and teacher CPD.
Our student workshops are fast-paced and engaging oracy masterclasses that develop students’ core oracy skills, spoken confidence and employability value. We offer four workshop programmes:
Talk About Transition: This workshop engages students with oracy-based activities and strategies to develop greater self-confidence and resilience and support a successful transition to secondary school. Suitable for students transitioning from primary to secondary phases
Talk About Communication: A high-impact and engaging confident communication workshop that develops students’ individual oracy skills and spoken confidence. Suitable for young people aged 9 to 18 (UK equivalent school years 5 to 13)
Talk About Communication Plus: Builds upon Talk About Communication to develop students’ skills and abilities to communicate confidently, constructively and cooperatively in ‘real world’ group talk situations such as debating, negotiating and event planning. Suitable for young people aged 12 to 18 (UK equivalent school years 8 to 13)
Talk About The Future: Leads students to identify their unique employability skill set and then communicate it effectively using developed oracy strategies, skills and confidence. Ideal for young people aged 15 to 18 (UK equivalent school years 11 to 13)
Talk The Talk Teacher CPD: Our Talk The Talk – Teacher CPD inspires teachers and staff working with students, to embed rich oracy opportunities in their pedagogy and embed a wider, consistent approach to oracy across the school. At the end of the workshop Talk The Talk’s support doesn’t end. Our resources section includes a range of oracy activities so you can continue to build on what we have started.
