Job Title: Fundraising Officer (Freelance, Part-Time)
Location: Remote
Hours: 0.2 FTE (4-5 days per month)
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Fundraising Officer to join our education charity on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will bring a track record of successful fundraising within the non-profit sector, particularly in education, and will be responsible for driving and executing high-impact fundraising strategies. This is a remote, flexible role (0.2 FTE), ideal for someone with significant expertise in securing funding and building long-term donor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive fundraising strategies (individual donations, corporate partnerships, trusts, and grants).
- Identify and secure new funding opportunities, including high-value grants and individual major donors.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing donors, ensuring effective stewardship and engagement.
- Collaborate with the charity’s leadership team to align fundraising efforts with organisational goals.
- Provide strategic insights and regular reporting on fundraising progress, income targets, and donor activities.
- Lead the preparation and submission of compelling grant applications and proposals.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ proven experience in fundraising, with a focus on education or non-profit sectors.
- Strong understanding of fundraising techniques, donor management, and grant writing.
- Demonstrated success in securing significant funding, including grants, major gifts, and corporate partnerships.
- Excellent communication, writing, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote, flexible environment.
- Available for approximately 4-5 days per month (0.2 FTE).
